Our latest adventure took us to the captivating world of French (Margaux) wines on June 21st, 2023 as we delved into the secrets and stories behind the appellation of wine in the Haut-Médoc District of Bordeaux.

We explored the history of the Margaux Wine Region, learning about the Romans who planted grapes in the area as early as 2000 years ago. We also examined the terroir of the Margaux Wine Region, discussing how different soil types and drainage characteristics influenced the grapes and gained an understanding of the esteemed 1855 Classification of Bordeaux wines, connecting us with fascinating tales woven into every vineyard and vintage.
Indulging in Delightful Wine Tasting Of course, the highlight of the evening was the wine tasting. We indulged in a curated selection of four remarkable Château Margaux wines: Chateau Malescot, Chateau Du Tertre, Chateau Giscour, and Chateau Brane Cantenac.
We shared our personal tasting notes and learned new fun facts about each winery.
For example, "Semper Ad Altum" on Chataeu Malescot's coat of arms means "always striving higher".

As the night went on , we fostered an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie. Over a specially curated cheese platter, we learned more about each other through the exchange of stories and experiences, embodying the spirit of togetherness and appreciation.
